چکیده
Background: As the main translational and rotatory stabilizer of knee, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) plays a critical role in knee biomechanics. Anterior ruptures generally require surgical attention for not only restoration stability but also prevention meniscal chondral injuries. There are countless options both surgeon patient when contemplating graft choice technique ACL reconstruction. However, literature assessing outcomes following various autografts has varied with some studies citing no significant difference clinical patient-reported outcomes, while others showing notable advantage using bone–patellar tendon–bone (BPTB) autograft. In addition, there have been challenges associated femoral tunnel placement an anteromedial portal technique. Indications: this study, we present young female history remote mid-substance tear now presenting worsening instability bucket-handle medial meniscus as sequela incompetent ACL. After extensive discussion regarding treatment options, had decided to proceed intervention BPTB autograft compression bio-absorbable interference screw fixation. Results: Bone–patellar noted lower risk revision compared other options. Discussion: underline importance peritenon handling. Comparison of Clinical Outcomes between Different Femoral Tunnel Positions after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Surgery
Background: It has been shown that the proper placement of ACL graft during the ACL reconstruction surgery significantly improves the clinical outcomes. This study investigated whether a change in the femoral tunnel position in both axial and coronal planes can significantly alter the postoperative functional and clinical outcomes of the patients. Methods: This comparative, retrospective, singl...
متن کاملA comparison of early and delayed arthroscopically-assisted reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament using hamstring autograft.
Delayed rather than early reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament is the current recommended treatment for injury to this ligament since it is thought to give a better functional outcome. We randomised 105 consecutive patients with injury associated with chondral lesions no more severe than grades 1 and 2 and/or meniscal tears which only required trimming, to early (< two weeks) or del...

متن کاملFemoral tunnel in revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
The failure rate after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction performed by expert surgeons is estimated to be in the range of 10-15%, and only 60% of patients undergoing this surgery are able to resume sporting activities comparable to those they engaged in prior to the traumatic incident. Incorrect femoral tunnel placement is one of the main causes of failed ACL reconstruction and thi...
